New Edition Of The Eviction Book

Writing a law review is unfair business--it does not stay relevant for long. Only in April I had published my first edition of the eviction notice book, and today that version is already obsolete. It lived through updates up to a version 1.7, which I proudly reworked in September, ... and then the Rent Ordinance was amended in so many different spots, I had to re-write most of the chapters. And so the second version was born!  [Amazon link]

Here is what's new:
I can't count all the improvements version 2 offers over the preceding edition, but here are the major points:

1. Chapters covering just causes of eviction affected by the Ordinance 171-15 got updated through the latest version of the Rent Ordinance, together with the consequent steps and timings involved.

2. References to the Rules and Regulations, modified in follow up to the Ordinance amendment, particularly the amended Rules 6.15A-D and the new Rule 6.15E, were also redone. New Rules are in effect since December 4, 2015.

3. Applicable decisions from 2015 cases, through December 1 case Foster v. Britton, 2015 Cal. App. LEXIS 1071 (Cal. App. 1st Dist. Dec. 1, 2015), Case No. A139892, which was about Rule 12.20.

4. Updated table of exceptions, including a more detailed coverage for Section 8 housing, and a narrower treatment of commercial real property.

I thank everyone for your support and hope you'll find this a useful reading!
