Employment Posters

2015 is coming up, and it is this time of the year, when we think of upgrading employment posters.
The list of statewide posters and brochures is here, the list of required California posters is here, Federal ones are here. It is almost self-explanatory, except that you need to know your Wage Order number, to include one in the package. Here is the cheat-sheet on what industries apply to what Wage Order, pick one. Wage Order poster is often missed, but it is still required.

For San Francisco, you need your citywide posters. Here is the list, broke down per type of employer: under 20 employees, over 20 employees, and the city contractors. Several firms print them, I found this one (no affiliation). They managed to put all regulations to fit in two posters. If you are under 20 employees, and not a city contractor, you will only need to purchase the first poster.

Note that San Francisco now has a new "San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance," and since August 13, 2014, employers with over 20 employees are required to post an additional notice, regarding this ordinance.

Your options and available strategies will depend on your case's particular facts. I will be glad to assist in guiding you through the jungle. The only thing you can't afford is to stay put and uninformed. My office provides a confidential assessment of your particular scenario, free of charge, and I will share with you the results of the analysis along with my thoughts on available solutions.
